Georges Louis Barrera joined Diamond Simon and The Roughcuts in the spring of 1997 lasting for about a year. Georges ability to switch smoothly between diverse rhythms like Jazz, Swing, Latin, Funk, and Blues shuffle, added versatility to the rhythm section.
